Before the creation of TRASS, issues relating to soil degradation was a forlorn topic in Seychelles considered as one of the greenest countries in the world. Through TRASS more light has been shed on the importance of safeguarding forests and mountains to protect soil fertility, fresh-water resources, and in turn provide sustainable source of revenue and food to the community downhill. Since its inception, TRASS has used ecosystem-based project to restore degraded mountains all over the island of Praslin. This would not have been possible without the support of the local authorities, local and international donors as well as volunteers from Seychelles and all over the world who have participated actively in our activities.
